Will McCutcheon is an Advanced Personal Trainer, Nutrition Consultant and Sports Therapist working in the Liverpool area for over 6 years. Will has worked for Liverpool Ladies FC for 5 seasons as Fitness Coach, Sports Therapist and most recently Assistant Manager, leaving this post in May ’07. What do you want to achieve? Getting in Shape? - Especially if it's a place you haven't been before - or haven't been in awhile - can be a challenge. Where do you start? How do you re-start? After all, it's not just about working out; it's about what you eat - without the nutrition plan, you can work and work and feel stronger but not see the body composition changes you want. It's also about how you move: efficient movement and good technique enables faster progress and reduces risk of injury.

Experienced but hit a plateau? Or perhaps you've been working-out for awhile, but you feel you may be stalling? Or you've started with a new approach - like kettlebells - and you're not quite sure about your technique and know how important the right technique is for safety and performance.

Pain or Tweak holding you back? Or perhaps you'd like to do a particular move, but your knees or your lower back or your shoulder kind of tweak "when I move like this," and so perhaps you've thought you can no longer train, or haven't found a way to get past this issue.

You are not alone, I can relate to all the above; have been in each of these places. That's why I have the training qualifications I do, and the practice I have. I work with athletes to help them tune their performance for their sport, but I work with athletes like the rest of us, too, from university students who sit at desks all day and rarely see the sun to elderly regaining strength and function from arthritis. Our bodies and brains adapt to what we do all the time. We are never too old, too far gone, too out of shape, or too overweight to regain and improve function. There is proof from research in brain science and physical science.

My approach is to work with you to figure out what you'd like to achieve, and help you find a plan towards that goal. This may be getting out of pain to move better, learning how to swing a kettlebell with good technique, rehabbing an injury, planning a nutrition approach to burn some extra fat, or putting together a training plan to compete in the long cycle for the next GS meet in your area.

In person or online or in groups; there are many modes to train. We can work in person or if you can't get down to Southampton, we can work via email. Likewise if you work with a group, I’m happy to deliver on site workshops and seminars.

Exercise first became a big focus in my life in 2000. I was a couple of stone overweight after having my two boys and rapidly approaching a fat and frumpy middle age – something had to be done! Through regular exercise (including joining my sons’ martial arts club) and by improving my eating habits, my body was transformed. Also, I couldn’t believe the buzz I got after each workout – feeling strong, confident and full of energy. I wanted others to feel this good so decided to make fitness my new career. 

I qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2005 and also became an Advanced Boxercise Instructor the same year. In 2007, I qualified as a kettlebell Instructor with London Kettlebells and have been obsessed ever since, attending further workshops with LKB and Jamie Lloyd. In June 2009, I qualified as an IKFF Level I CKT with the legendary Steve Cotter. Steve’s efficient style of kettlebell training is a perfect fit for continuing to keep me strong, tough, healthy, and flexible as I move through middle age and beyond! 

My approach to training is to make people lean, fit, strong and able to move efficiently so they are able to cope with everything they want to do in life. My favorite sessions involve a killer combination of kettlebells and boxing pad work. I also like to mix in other training tools e.g. bodyweight exercises, medicine balls, slegehammers etc. in fun and demanding combinations. I expect my clients to work hard - there will always be sweat but also lots of laughter. I have worked with a variety of clients, from teenagers to pregnant ladies to men twice my weight and all have made great progress towards their goals with the help of kettlebell training.

I have a passion and that passion is kettlebell sport training and kettlebell  fitness.


After many years playing rugby and training in Muay Thai I was getting frustrated with performing well but maybe not to the level I knew I could achieve. During one rugby season I became injured and decided try something new to help with rehabilitation. 

I came across kettlebells 15 months ago and the transformation and passion started and I have never looked back. In this short time I have followed my passion for training involving kettlebells and body weight and functional movement drills.

The kettlebell for me has been life changing. I have not only become certified as a IKFF Level 1 CKT which has meant I am able to pursue my real passion for fitness and teaching others I am now fitter, stronger, leaner and more flexible than ever before and it has helped me personally achieve a weight loss goal of 3st (35lbs, 18kg).

The next step for my personal development is training for kettlebell sport lifting and I will be competing soon.

I train people with all levels of ability and fitness, ranging from the complete beginner to the more accomplished athlete.  My theory in life is train hard to get results but never sacrifice happiness, this is meant to be fun after all!

Tom aims to provide the very highest level of service to his clients, and works from his own private training studio in the center of Bath. This ensures they are working in the best environment to get the best results.

Prior to starting work as a trainer, Tom played professional cricket for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. Tom proudly represented Gloucestershire for 5 years, whilst also studying for his degree in Accounting and Finance from Exeter University.

Tom has a thirst for knowledge and is constantly looking to improve his skills as a trainer. Having learnt the art of Kettlebell training from Steve Cotter himself, Tom knows he has learnt from the very best.

From the age of 6 James Wren has been involved in many types of martial arts including boxing, muay thai and greco roman wrestling to name a few. For the past 10 years he has been involed and competed in amateur bodybuilding contests around the UK. He has been a personal trainer and nutritional advisor for 6 years.

The past 6 years have been dedicated to all types of people reaching their goals whether it be a professional sports contest or just wanting to get fit. I have been using kettlebells with my clients for the last 5 years. Out of all the different training tools used today, kettlebells are the ultimate. Be it for strength, power, flexability or muscular endurance there is no equal!
