IKFF Level I CKT Derek has over 6 years experience in fitness coaching and 4 years in kettlebell training. Having been around fitness, sport and physical challenge all my life I have found kettlebell lifting and the IKFF approach to fitness to be the most comprehensive in terms of general fitness, health, strength, functionality, mobility, longevity and fun! Now as a proud member of the IKFF team, I can add the CKT certification to my background in conventional fitness/weight training, olympic lifting, gymnastics and functional training. I have a passion for kettlebell lifting both as a training method and a sport, and aim to pass that on to my clients providing them with an effective, varied, motivational and fun training experience designed to give back exactly what they are willing to put into it. I also enjoy the chance to learn from my clients, coaches and professionals in order to maintain high standards of instruction and expertise. In collaboration with other Scottish kettlebell instructors, I am also working to promote Kettlebell Lifting as a sport and hope to compete personally in the near future.
