kettlebell research 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I am currently getting my master degree in exercise science. I need to complete a graduate thesis in order to graduate. I am currently a strength and conditioning coach at a facility in scranton, PA. Over the last year I have mainly only trained with kettlebells and love the benefits they provide. I have decided to do my thesis on kettlebells. My title is " Evaluation of Kinematic Variables and Muscle Activation in the One and Two Handed Kettle Bell Swing." I am going to look at peak power output/ joint angles/ muscle activation in those movements. I decided on this topic because of the gains that I have notice just from using kettle bells. After an exhaustive search I barely have an one journal.
My question to everyone on this forum is where can I find research on kettle bells.
Any research ?
Thanks for your time.
Dustin

How well is your Russian? Most information is in the Russian language right now. I have a couple of articles that may be of use. One is in english and is a good read regardless.

Send me an email at andrew.durniat@ikff.net

I would love to help you with your search.

I believe Kenneth Jay "The Dane of Pain" quoted some research in his book Viking Warrior Conditioning as he did a study on the Swing and VO2 Max for his Masters, perhaps you could contact him:

I think I read about a study in The KettleBell Bible, I'll have a look and let you know if there was a reference.
